Ben
Gill has been in the horticultural field for 30 years. After
taking earth and life science courses, Ben became involved
with the development of the Palomar College Arboretum. Through
this work, he discovered his passion is landscaping and horticulture.
From
1977 to 1981, Mr. Gill co-owned B&R Propagators and developed
nursery operations for Protea, Banksia, and many Australian
and South African native flowers and foliage's.

From
1981 to 1995, Ben developed and organized the 93-acre ranch and
nursery, Silvermink. Ben was also the Manager of the Puma Ridge
Mutual Water Company which provides over 2 million gallons of water
service to a 500- acre area. Ben has also consulted and helped to
develop projects throughout California.
While
focusing his attention on California Protea Management, Ben still
finds time to offer consultation services to other landowners on
development and growing techniques. He keeps very active in the
politics of the industry. Some of his many involvement include:

Ben's
enthusiasm is as contagious as his ambitions. He has the drive,
determination and discipline to achieve his goals for California
Protea Management.
